The U.S. Department of Commerce just released its report on U.S. citizens traveling to international destinations and Central America saw an almost 10% increase in the number of Americans traveling abroad compared to 2015.
The most popular month for Americans to travel to Central America is in July with over 320,000 visits.
The least popular months are September and October with 146,000 visitors and 161,000 visitors respectively.
Central America has 3.7% market share of all foreign trips, making it the 5th most popular foreign overseas destination behind Europe, Caribbean, Asia, and South America.
