Discovery Communications Inc. is licensing its name for a $1 billion ecotourism park to be named Discovery Costa Rica. The new ecotourism park, called Discovery Costa Rica, will open in late 2020. It will be located close to Liberia. Visitors to the park will be able to participate in hiking, rock climbing and scuba diving. A United Airlines fight on Monday April 24th made an emergency landing in Liberia, Costa Rica after one of its engines overheated over the Pacific Ocean 30 minutes into the flight. The plan was originally scheduled to arrive in Houston later that day. The plane was a Boeing 737-800.
