If you’re planning to get married in Costa Rica, you’re likely going to have a lot of people flying down from all over for your big day.

Here are some suggestions for what you and your guests can do before and after your big wedding day in Costa Rica.

1. Beach & Pool Crawl

It’s Sunday Funday and a bar crawl combined into one excursion. This tour leaves from Sharky’s at 1:00pm and explores the beaches and resorts north of Tamarindo. You can purchase tickets online at their website here. This is a great way for your wedding party to see some of the beaches and pool along the beautiful gold coast shores of the Guanacaste province. (Also a fun tour for bachelor and bachelorette parties!)

2. Take a surf lesson

Costa Rica is well known as a surfing mecca. If you or your wedding party has any type of athletic ability, try getting a surf lesson with one of the many surf shops and schools spread across the country.

3. Zip Line

No trip to Costa Rica is complete without going zip lining. This is a fun way to see the beautiful rainforset canopies. It’s also a good activity for large groups since these trips usually include a buffet lunch or dinner. We recommend going with Hacienda Guachapelin.

4. ATV/4 Wheeler Tour

These tours are a blast, and they usually give a good discount if you have a large wedding party going on the tour. ATV Tamarindo is one of the companies we recommend using, but your hotel concierge should have recommendations as well.

5. Hit the links

It’s tough to beat golfing in paradise with your wedding crew! Hacienda Pinilla is just a 30 minute drive from Tamarindo and features one of the best golf courses in the country. Mention the Weekly Crawler and you’ll get 18 holes of golf with cart for only $75, or if you need rental clubs only $30 more.
