United flight makes emergency landing at Liberia, Costa Rica airport after losing engine

A United Airlines fight on Monday April 24th made an emergency landing in Liberia, Costa Rica after one of its engines overheated over the Pacific Ocean 30 minutes into the flight.

The plan was originally scheduled to arrive in Houston later that day.

The plane was a Boeing 737-800.

And it turns out they almost crash landed at the Liberia Airport…


The only consolation was a hotel stay and $10 voucher from United…


The frightened flyer is all jokes now after the ordeal…
