Crate & Barrel just announced a $4 million expansion into Costa Rica. The store will be open sometime in the beginning of 2017

Mónica Fonseca, manager of the company in the country, said that the installation of the franchise in Central America will begin with the first store in Costa Rica.

The store will be 2,200 square meters and will be located in the Avenida Escazú shopping center outside of San Jose.

Here’s a tour of a similar store in Atlanta, Georgia:

The store will employ 40 full time staff. Inversiones CBCR, S.A. is the franchiser operator for the store.

The U.S. based company started in 1962 in Chicago and now has more than 80 stores across the United States, Canada, Peru, Mexico, and Colombia.
